Preview
Delhi and Chennai will be up against each other in the 13th match of the Indian T20 League 2024. Both the teams have had a contrasting journey in the league so far. While Delhi have lost both of their matches till now, Chennai have won two in two. Come the game on March 31. Delhi would be hoping to reverse their result but they have a tough task ahead of them.
Chennai seem to be a complete unit in the two matches they have played so far. In the opening order, they have the duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra. While the skipper has anchored from one end, Ravindra has gine hard against the bowlers so far. In the middle order, the team has solid batters like Ajinkya Rahane, Daryl Mitchell, Shivam Dube, and Sameer Rizvi. Chennai also have the experienced Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni to guide the team in the lower-order.
With the bowling, Chennai has used the likes of Mustafizur Rahman, Matheesha Pathirana, Deepak Chahar, and Tushar Deshpande. Delhi Capitals have a decent unit too with the likes of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Anrich Nortje in their ranks. But they have not been able to come together and play as a team. The focus would be to make the most of their new home and try to beat Chennai who have not lost a game in the season till now.
Delhi vs Chennai Head-to-Head
Chennai and Delhi have been up against each other in the ITL in 29 instances. Chennai has the upper hand winning 19 of those games. Delhi has managed to beat Chennai only in 10 instances in the league. This would be a good opportunity for them to better their head-to-head record against Chennai.

ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium Pitch Report
The wicket at Vishakhapatnam is usually known to be a good surface for both the batters and the bowlers. The spinners get some turn while the pacers with can come good with variations and change of pace. Cutters and slower ones can be handy for the pacers. With the new ball, there might be some early swing on offer. Getting the hard ball is easier than smashing the soft ball in the middle overs where the spinners come into the picture. Batting second would be a better option.
