Rajasthan Royals are having a superb campaign so far in the Indian Premier League 2024. Out of the eight games that they have played so far this season, they have managed to face defeat on only one occasion. The franchise sits at the top of the table with an amazing chance to qualify for the playoffs this season.

In the 44th match of the Indian Premier League 2024, the Rajasthan Royals face yet another tough test and this time they have to travel to Lucknow to face the mighty Lucknow Super Giants. A win would almost guarantee a play-off spot for the franchise and the aim would be that for the team.

Ahead of their next game against the Lucknow Super Giants, let’s take a look at how the Rajasthan Royals team would line up.

Here’s the probable playing XI for RR versus LSG IPL 2024 clash:

Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler

Finally, the form everyone was waiting for is here for Yashasvi Jaiswal. The opener smashed the Mumbai Indians all over the park and was looking confident for the first time this season. He would be hoping to continue this great run in the upcoming few games of the tournament.

Jos Buttler has also picked up the pace in this Indian Premier League and following his second hundred of the season, he has been making meaningful contributions for the team with the bat. The opener has become one of the key batters for the team this season

Middle Order: Sanju Samson (c & wk), Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer

Sanju Samson played the perfect knock against the Mumbai Indians as he ensured that his side got all the two points. He was impressive behind the stumps as well which was a great sight as he fights for the wicket-keeper spot in the Indian team.

Another person who has been looked at by the Indian team management is Riyan Parag. The batter is having a great campaign so far but still has a long way to go if he wants to make the squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

After an impressive series against England before the start of the tournament, everyone had high hopes for Dhruv Jurel. However, the keeper has not been able to contribute significantly with the bat this time around. Even though, the format is different, some good performances are expected from the wicket-keeper batter.

Shimron Hetmyer’s role in the side is clear as he has to finish the innings of whether it is while setting the total or while chasing a target down. The batter has been acing the role so far and would be looking to make more significant knocks with the bat for the franchise.

All-rounders: Ravichandran Ashwin, Rovman Powell

Ravichandran Ashwin has been in great form this season but would be likely to start the game against the Lucknow Super Giants. The off-spinner hasn’t been amongst the wickets but might have a great game this time around as there is some assistance to the spinners at the ground in Lucknow.

When Rovman Powell was bought for INR 7.4 Crores, it was imminent that the all-rounder would be starting all the games. However, it hasn’t been the case so far as he has started only 4 games so far this campaign but is still a valuable player of the team. He hasn’t had a chance to bowl this year but can be given one or two overs where the pitch is slow or sluggish.

Bowlers: Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal

It’s once again the Trent Boult show during the powerplay for the Rajasthan Royals as the pacer once again claimed early wickets against the Mumbai Indians. The bowler has become a lethal player for the side this year and will be looking to continue the good form in the upcoming game against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Avesh Khan has been either a hit or a miss this season as he either bowls a great spell and takes wickets or gets smashed for runs all over the park. Consistency is one thing that has gone missing for the pacer and will look to work on that factor. The speedster is in contention to be part of the Team India squad for the T20 World Cup and needs a big season if he wants to make the team.

It has been yet another splendid campaign so far for Yuzvendra Chahal as he is taking wickets on a regular basis for the side this year. He is in the race for the purple cap and would be looking to claim that this season. The leg-spinner is also in the race to be part of the Team India squad for the T20 World Cup and needs to continue with this great form.

RR predicted XI vs LSG:

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal
