Preview:
India (IND) and Bangladesh (BAN) cross swords in a T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up tie at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, on Saturday, June 01.
India played their last T20I series in January at home against Afghanistan and won 3-0. The Indian players have had enough T20 experience in the last couple of months, having played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Meanwhile, apart from Mustafizur Rahman, no other Bangladeshi player played in the IPL. The Bangla Tigers won a home series against Zimbabwe 4-1. Recently, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Co. suffered a massive upset as they lost a three-match T20I series against the USA by a 1-2 margin.
India and Bangladesh have played some close encounters in recent years. Fans can expect an intriguing encounter on Saturday.

IND vs BAN Probable Best Performers
Probable Best Batter: Rishabh Pant
The wicketkeeper-batter had a stellar IPL season with the bat, having amassed 446 runs 13 matches at an average of 40.55 and a strike rate of 155.40. He scored three half-centuries in what was his comeback season after suffering a near-fatal car accident in December 2022. If Pant can continue his IPL form, it will stand India in good stead.
Probable Best Bowler: Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah was in red-hot form during IPL 2024 and was the only bright spot for Mumbai Indians. In 13 matches, he took 20 wickets at 16.80. Bumrah will look to take confidence from his impeccable showing in the IPL and excel for India in the T20 World Cup.
