India Women (IND-W) will clash against Pakistan Women (PAK-W) in Match 02 of the Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla on July 19. Both teams are placed in Group A alongside Nepal and UAE.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side is coming off a sensational performance in the multi-format series against South African women at home. In the T20Is, the side suffered a 12-run defeat in the first match. After the second match was abandoned, the hosts came back strong in the third game and managed to win it by 10 wickets.
On the other hand, archrivals Pakistan Women were on a tour to England for a white-ball series back in the month of May. In three T20Is, Nida Dar & Co. lost all the games by a significant margin and then went on to lose the ODIs by a 2-0 margin. The side will look to put the past performances behind them and try to give their best in the eight-team tournament.

Pitch Report
The Rangiri Dambulla surface is historically on the slower side with the spinners getting help. For the seamers, the strip offers a good amount of bounce making it hard for the batters to be anticipatory while batting. The team that wins the toss will look to bat first and try to put on a defendable score on the board.
