Sri Lanka Women (SL-W) will clash against Bangladesh Women (BAN-W) in Match 4 of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024, at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla, on Saturday, July 20. Both teams are placed in Group B alongside Malaysia and Thailand. 

The Chamari Athapaththu-led side recently played a white ball series against West Indies women at home. Though the hosts won the ODI series by a 3-0 margin. But in the shortest format, the side couldn’t carry on the same momentum. The Lankans lost the series 2-1 but will be looking to put their past performances behind them and come back strong in the ongoing competition.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Women were previously on a five-match T20I tour to India. The star-studded India squad demolished the opposition and won the series by a 5-0 margin. Nigar Sultana-led team will be hoping to get a win in the first game to boost their confidence.
