Bangladesh Women (BAN W) will take on Thailand Women (THA W) in Match 8 of the Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024, at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium in Dambulla, on Monday, July 22. Thailand managed to win their first game against Malaysia by 22 runs and are leading Group B owing to their superior Net Run Rate.  On the other hand, Bangladesh were handed a hefty defeat by Sri Lanka in their first game as they lost by seven wickets.

If Thailand manage to sneak in a win against Bangladesh in the upcoming game, they will have their one-foot firm in the playoff. Bangladesh are in dire need of a victory and a win against Thailand will keep their playoff hopes alive. Their subsequent game will be against Malaysia, a less threatening side and they will be hoping to capitalize on the momentum obtained from the upcoming game.
