Match 5 of the Caribbean Premier League will see the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots lock horns with the St Lucia Kings at the Warner Park on September 2, 2024.
While the Patriots have played two games in the 12th edition of the CPL so far, the Kings are yet to open their account. The Patriots chased in both their games, with both their games going contrastingly different. While they just about got over the line in their first fixture in a nail-biting thriller which went right down to the wire, the second game saw them fall short of their target by 44 runs.
The Kings finished third last season, but unfortunately couldn’t progress past the Eliminator. They would be aiming for a strong start to their season in a bid to secure a top-2 finish this time around.

Pitch Report
The pitch at Warner Park has been on the slower side since the past couple of years, which has been proved by the reluctance of teams chasing. With this game being the first of this season to be played at this venue, a similar trend could be expected. And thus, the captain winning the toss is expected to invite the opposition to bowl first.

Probable Best Batter: Johnson Charles
Including the warm-up fixture ahead of the 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup (which saw him register his highest score in a while), the attacking top-order batter had a sporadic campaign which were filled with starts on which he couldn’t capitalize on. However, with all the potential stored within the T20 stalwart, he could be expected to start off his CPL 2024 with a bang.

Probable Best Bowler: Noor Ahmad
The wily spinner from Afghanistan has not stopped his cricketing expeditions ever since the 20-over World Cup. He has since participated in the Major League Cricket and Shpageeza Cricket League and has been a raging success in both the tournaments for his respective sides, picking up nine wickets apiece. He would be itching to get his CPL 2024 campaign underway with yet another dominant outing with the ball.
